Historic site and monument, Historic patrimony, 18th C in Saint-Clément-sur-Durance
  • Under the Tower of Saint-Clement, the oldest houses have preserved their labyrinths of cellars, witnesses of the wine production that characterized this village in the past: don't hesitate to go to the Bacchus street!

  • The cellars, like this one, occupy a good part of the old town. Most often built on 3 levels (tank, press and housing), they were temporarily inhabited during the wine making season. St Clément, benefiting from a sunny situation, was famous for the culture of the vine. Today, renovated and used as main residence or holiday home, they are not visited.
