Description
A headless body planted in the ground opens a breach into the invisible. Underground explores what escapes our gaze, between dance and words, in a disturbing plunge into an underground world, close yet elusive, strange and fascinating.
There before us, a man lies with his head planted in the ground. His body stretched out. His headless body.
From this body, movements begin to appear. At first restrained, like reactions to a few invisible stimuli, until they grow larger, more excessive. Then the body rises like a totem. Words are then heard. Do they come from him, or are they spoken by others? To whom are they addressed?
Underground is a piece about the invisible, in which the body of a dancer and the words that accompany it give access to an impenetrable world: that underground, so close and yet forever unknown. The other side of the mirror.
