We set off from the heart of Guillestre. The main road soon gives way to a forest road. The route then climbs steadily and uninterruptedly up to Risoul village.
There's no marked traffic or urban surface here. Progress follows an off-axis track, with a constant gradient that sets the pace. One hairpin bend follows another, always with the logic of a continuous climb.
Higher up, the link continues towards Risoul 1850. The 900-meter ascent is built up gradually, with no descending section to ease the effort. A clean, clear ascent from the valley floor to the resort.
The route is freely accessible all year round. It is practicable depending on weather and snow conditions. Equipment must therefore be adapted.
