Description
A little tour of sommet Buchet
From Molines-en-Queyras, take the road to La Rua and descend to the torrent, cross the Achins bridge (alt. 1673 m) and climb to the Bucher summit (by pushing a little).
Rejoin the summit road at altitude 1909 m and continue up to the orientation table (alt. 2254 m).
From the orientation table, descend a little on the "chapelle St Simon" path from the 1st bend below the parking lot.
At the col des prés de Fromage, a sign points the way to the chapelle St-Simon.
Continue downhill to the Chalp de St-Véran on this slightly technical trail, which then becomes very difficult!
At the Chalp, stay on the left bank of the torrent on the path that becomes a footpath (with a natural half-pipe when the hay is cut).
Opposite the chairlift, cross to the right bank and stay close to the torrent to climb (a little steeply) just below Molines. There's a fountain to refresh you.
The route is open all year round. It is practicable depending on weather and snow conditions. Equipment must therefore be appropriate.
