A long and beautiful journey through the Upper Guil valley.
This technically straightforward itinerary takes you from the village of Abriès-Ristolas to the hamlet of Echalp in the remote Haut-Guil valley. You'll ride along the turquoise waters of the Guil all the way, alternating between valley floor and balcony trails. At Echalp you'll be at the entrance to the Ristolas-Mont-Viso Nature Reserve, home to a wide variety of habitats, exceptional flora and typical endemic alpine fauna, such as Lanza's salamander, which lives only in the Viso massif.
This itinerary is used by a wide variety of users: hikers/trekkers/trailers. For more information on the presence of herds, click on the link to the Parc Naturel Régional du Queyras website in the documentation tab below.
