Camping de La Fontaine

The Vardo XL chalet, with its 27 m² of space and fully equipped kitchen, accommodates up to 5 people and features a wood-burning stove to warm up after a day outdoors. Away from the hustle and bustle, the campground is cleverly situated between Réotier and Guillestre. If peace and quiet are what you’re looking for on your vacation, then La Fontaine is the place for you! The Ecrins and Queyras mountain ranges are nearby, as is the Mont-Dauphin fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Camping La Fontaine spans 4 hectares, and thanks to its Mediterranean pine forest, your vacation will make you feel like the cicadas are right nearby! The nearby Durance River lends the site a natural atmosphere, all bathed in sunshine. The entire layout of the campground has been designed to blend harmoniously with the magnificent surrounding landscape. It features 80 spacious, shaded terraced sites to help you adjust to the bright light of your vacation. The birdsong, the lapping of the river, and the delightful, pure water of the Fontaine Pétrifiante: you may not have realized it, but this is everything you need to forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What’s more, the campground is at the crossroads of the Briançonnais, the Embrunais (Lake Serre-Ponçon), the Freissinières Valley, and the Queyras, allowing you to easily explore hiking trails and traditional villages. And of course, a peaceful setting means happy kids: there are various games, ping-pong tables, and a pétanque court. The campground is located at the starting point for hiking and mountain biking trails. Kayaking trips depart from the Durance River right at the campground. And if you ever miss the news, you have free Wi-Fi access at the front desk—the service is free for campground guests.
