For the first time, combine Mont-Dauphin in the plural with a ticket combining a guided tour of the fortifications and the Little Bighorn exhibition by Ousmane Sow.
Mont-Dauphin, a fortified mountain village listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Vauban fortifications, is yours to discover with a guided tour of the fortifications, followed by a self-guided tour of the Little Bighorn exhibition by Ousmane Sow!
Combined tickets for both tours are available from the ticket office in advance for tourism professionals.
The guided tour includes stops outside (moats, fortifications) and inside the former military buildings (lunette d'Arçon and its underground passage, arsenal, powder magazine, attic of the Rochambeau barracks). It allows visitors to discover the amazing history of Mont-Dauphin and understand the formidable defensive system designed by Vauban.
The guided tour of the fortifications lasts 2 hours.
Then refine your discovery of Mont-Dauphin with a free tour of the exhibition and relive the battle of Little Bighorn, the last Indian victory, thanks to 35 monumental sculptures by Ousmane Sow!
After your guided tour of the fortifications in the morning, have lunch in one of the village's restaurants (find out more about restaurants in Mont-Dauphin) and enjoy a free tour of the Little Bighorn exhibition in the afternoon.
For visitors with a ticket, go directly to the Rochambeau barracks or to the bookshop-boutique.
