The last survivor of Guillestre's 10 fortified towers dating back to the 14th century, the Tour d'Eygliers stands proud and supports several sections of ramparts, the remains of a fortified enclosure and a château destroyed in the 17th century.
A small priest's garden at its foot is a pleasant place to stop for a picnic or a relaxing break, with beautiful views over Place Albert and Notre Dame d'Aquilon!
