"The marmots of Eygliers wait quietly a few minutes from the parking lot on the lawns that serve as their larder and at the foot of their pudding rocks. You don't need any training, just your desire to admire them as a respectful witness. Sit discreetly to admire them, and from time to time raise your head to take in the panoramic view of the valley and the Ecrins glaciers in the background. The paths and information panels make the site particularly suitable for children: discover the flora and fauna, climb, picnic, nap in the shade... WARNING: it is strictly forbidden to feed the marmots or to leave the marked trail!
Marmots generally hibernate from mid-October to April, depending on weather and temperature. ‘Birds, marmots, ermines, chamois, ibex,
and all the little people of fur and feathers
now need your friendship to survive.
