The church of Saint-Antoine was rebuilt between 1457 and 1494 under the episcopate of Jean Bayle, Archbishop of Embrun. You can see his coat of arms on one of the capitals in the nave. The end of the 15th century marked a period of reconstruction after wars, famines and epidemics.
The archbishop was one of the architects of this renewal. Eygliers, Saint Crépin, Vars and Risoul owe their parish churches to him. The church of Saint Antoine, with its 2-column entrance and Lombardy-inspired motifs, is a listed building. In the nave, 16th-century frescoes, discovered in 1968, illustrate the cult of Saint Jacques and the pilgrimage to Compostela. The exterior features 2 carved animal heads on one of the doors. This late Romanesque parish church was also used as a place of worship for the inhabitants of the stronghold of Mont-Dauphin, due to its proximity. Its simple, uncluttered style is enhanced by an attractive porch, with pink marble columns and large masonry pebbles on the ground.
