From the Roche Écroulée parking lot, take the path towards Petit Belvédère. After a larch forest, a wide flat area known as the Petit Belvédère du Viso offers a breathtaking view of the imposing summit. Cross the footbridge over the Guil and climb up the old road to the Grand Belvédère. On the right, the path descends to the Guil, following the torrent through the rhododendrons to its source: Lake Lestio. A high-mountain atmosphere in this schist cirque surrounded by stone peaks topping out at 3000m! If you still have some strength left, push on to the Italian border at the Col de Valante. After the effort, the comfort of a snack at the Viso refuge can be considered as an alternative to the descent, before returning to the ascent to the Viso belvedere.
