Ibexes and men

Accompanied, Pedestrian sports, Hiking in Abriès-Ristolas
  • At the gates of Italy, around the summit of Bric Bouchet (2997 m), this hike is an invitation to discover the relationship between man and ibex, from prehistoric times to the present day.

  • Archaeological reports, medieval texts, illuminations and scientific data will shed new light on these ambiguous relationships! Alternately prey or subjects of wonder according to the times, the ibex were reintroduced in the Queyras in 1995 and 1996. On this sector, our chances to observe them are very important. And maybe they will even be present on the border ridges at the time of the meal. This hike has been awarded the "Accueil du Parc naturel régional du Queyras" label.
