Hut Viso

The refuge is equipped with 65 dormitory places for 6 to 16 people, a sanitary area with solar showers, a lounge/library area and a terrace with an exceptional view of Mont Viso.
The cuisine is healthy and refined, using organic produce from the Hautes-Alpes region.

The Refuge du Viso is located in the Queyras region on the Italian border, at the foot of the magnificent giant Mont Viso, which rises to an altitude of 3841m. The refuge sits on a large grassy plateau in a wide alpine cirque at an altitude of 2460m.
In summer, the refuge is open from June 15 to September 15. It also opens in spring for ski touring. But in the meantime, there's an accessible part of the hut that can provide shelter. Just leave it clean and tidy.
In winter, check the snow conditions for access to the refuge before you leave! A winter section remains open.
Bivouacs: authorized in the Ristolas-Mont-Viso National Reserve, but no more than 20m from the trail and no less than 500m from the refuge.
