This is an accessible itinerary with no technical difficulties, offering you a beautiful mountain bike ride from the village of Abriès-Ristolas to the hamlet of Echalp in the remote Haut-Guil valley. You'll ride along the turquoise waters of the Guil all the way, alternating between valley floor and balcony trails. You'll ride along the turquoise waters of the Guil all the way, alternating between valley floor and balcony trails. Once you reach Echalp, you'll be at the entrance to the Ristolas-Mont-Viso nature reserve (2,295 hectares), home to a wide variety of habitats, exceptional flora (800 species of flowering plants) and typical endemic alpine fauna, such as Lanza's salamander, which lives only in the Viso massif.
This itinerary is used by hikers, trailers and herds.
