Conference and exhibition on the Queyras lakes, Thursday March 13 at 6pm in the Salle des Associations, Réotier.
Despite having the most sunshine in the French Alps and the lowest total rainfall, the Queyras attracts snow and white-water enthusiasts, who find in its territory a paradise for downhill, cross-country and cross-country skiing, the Guil and its rapids, but also an extraordinary choice of high-altitude lakes. The Friends of Ceillac's exhibition will take us on a tour of these lakes, each one different from the next, to help us get to know and admire them better. Each has its own geomorphological originality that explains its existence and attractions. Some, like Souliers, Foréant or Sainte-Anne, see hundreds of admiring tourists every year. Others, often more remote, are more discreet, more secret, but perhaps even more beautiful. Lac Blanchet or Lac d'Asti have unconditional, faithful lovers who return regularly on pilgrimage, whatever the time of day or the season. But then there are the almost unknowns whose solitary shores are more animated by wildlife than by rare visitors: who knows the Clos Sablé, Chalanties or Clos Taquelle lakes? We'll try to make room for everyone.
We'll invite those present to share their experiences of these Queyras lakes.
