Hard
  • Hiking and herds, a cohabitation to be respected.

  • The climb takes us through a forest rich in color and sound. Kinglets, different titmice, woodpeckers... all singing their melodies and brightening up the atmosphere. Once you reach the pass, it's the view that fascinates. It stretches 180° from the Dent du Ratier to the Italian border. To the north, the Grand Rochebrune guards the area. The Pic and its foothills dominate the Péas valley, commanding the respect of all those who have herded cattle here since the dawn of time.
    From September...

From September 1, 2025, a logging operation will begin in the Château Ville Vieille communal forest, in the area between the Col de la Crèche and the Péas sheepfold. If all goes according to plan, the cut should be completed by October 15.
For the safety of users, the path linking the Col de la Crèche to the Péas sheepfold will be closed to the public by municipal decree. From Meyriès, you will have to go via Rouet and the forest road to reach the Péas valley.
