Under the Tower of Saint-Clement, the oldest houses have preserved their labyrinths of cellars, witnesses of the wine production that characterized this village in the past: don't hesitate to go to the Bacchus street!
Cellars like this one take up a large part of the old town. Usually built on 3 levels (vat, press and dwellings), they were inhabited temporarily during the wine-making season. St Clément boasts a sunny location and was renowned for its vineyards. Now renovated and used as a main residence or holiday home, they are not closed to the public.
