Description
The Bread Festival is a sacred event in Abriès-Ristolas! From building your own pizza oven to Olympic-style games and tasting delicious open-faced sandwiches, there’s something for everyone all weekend long!
On the schedule:
Saturday—at the Abriès kiosk
- at 2:30 p.m.—Build a pizza oven: Come learn how to build your own straw-and-clay pizza oven. This festive and creative workshop is also a treat for the taste buds, since at the end you’ll get to enjoy delicious pizzas that you’ve prepared and baked over a wood fire! Registration is required—maximum 15 people.
- 6:00 PM – Pizza Happy Hour: Here, pizza isn’t just a meal—it’s an excuse to get together, laugh, and enjoy doing things as a group. Feel free to bring some snacks to go with the pizzas :)
Sunday:
- Morning at the communal oven: Céleste, Yéti, and Fafa will bake the dough prepared in the kitchen of the Abriès organic bakery for the evening meal.
- 2:30 p.m. – Olympizz Games at the Abriès kiosk: This is a fun-filled competition inspired by the Olympic Games, set in the friendly world of artisanal wood-fired pizza. Each team takes on fun, culinary, artistic, and symbolic challenges centered around creating a group pizza. Registration recommended.
- Starting at 6:00 PM – Dinner at the Abriès communal oven: It’s time to enjoy the bread baked that morning, served as delicious open-faced sandwiches with local charcuterie and cheeses, featuring new additions this year: a caillette sandwich, a vegetarian bruschetta-style option, and… chocolate-banana for dessert!
- 8:30 p.m. - Concert at the communal oven: CtrlC/CtlrV, a cover duo with no musical boundaries, will bring this festive weekend to a spectacular close. Refreshments will be available on site.
