Science Festival

Organized by the Saint-Véran Culture and Development Association, in partnership with the municipality and the Saint-Véran Distillery, the event will take place at the Maison du Soleil et de l’Astronomie, which will open its doors free of charge. Friday will be dedicated to school groups, while the general public is invited on Saturday. Friday, October 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: self-guided tours and workshops for school groups. Saturday, October 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: self-guided tours and workshops for the general public. Friday workshops (for school groups only, registration required): 11:00 a.m. – Making a sundial. 2:00 p.m. – exploring the scents of plants and an introduction to the principles of distillation. Saturday workshops (open to the general public; registration required): 10:00 a.m. – making a sundial. 11:00 a.m. – exploring the scents of plants and an introduction to the principles of distillation. 2:30 p.m. – Making a sundial. 3:30 p.m. – Exploring the scents of plants and an introduction to the principles of distillation. Evening event 8:00–10:00 p.m. for everyone: Stargazing (weather permitting). Lecture (in case of bad weather).
