Description
The water cycle has gone haywire. This investigation, conducted throughout France, proves that solutions do exist. This film will serve as the starting point for a discussion on water-related issues in our region, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.
Droughts, floods—everywhere, the water cycle has gone haywire. Beyond the distress they cause to local communities, these disasters are also the result of choices made in the development of agriculture, industry, and land-use planning since World War II.
From Pas-de-Calais to Sainte-Soline, via Rennes and Toulouse, this investigation—told from a first-person perspective—shows that solutions exist but that their implementation remains dependent on political decisions. It also highlights the need for a commitment to action.
This film is being presented as part of the “Alimenterre” festival.
This screening and discussion is organized by Terres en Guil, an agricultural land cooperative in the Guillestrois-Queyras region.
Refreshments will be available on site to keep you hydrated during the discussion.
