The 35th edition of the classical music festival "Les Musicales Guil et Durance" kicks off with this tasty session of Argentine Tango by the group DIVAGANDO. Their program is a tribute to Carlos Gardel.
Gardel, mon amour is the story of Berthe Gardes, a young woman from Toulouse, who, to escape the dark fate of her mother, goes into exile in Buenos Aires with her 2-year-old son Carlito. Carlito was to become Gardel, the first tango singer, the emblem and absolute icon of the genre. In this concert-show, Divagando pays tribute to the repertoire of this immense artist. Erna Dolcet sings Gardel's music, recounting Berthe's emotions as she watches the dizzying rise of this son with an incredible destiny.
