The duo Pierre Bouyer and Nicole Tamestit present "MOZART DANS LE QUEYRAS Complete Sonatas for violin & pianoforte". Mozart and J.S Bach and other adventures
are played this evening in the church of Aiguilles.
Nicole Tamestit and Pierre Bouyer have been playing together as a violin and piano duo for some thirty years, giving them a homogeneity and flexibility that is often noted and praised. Both have followed similar paths, starting out as virtuosos on their traditional instruments, then exploring the older worlds of baroque violin and harpsichord, before focusing on the repertoire and instruments of the so-called "classical" period, i.e. the violin as known to Mozart, Beethoven and Paganini, and the fortepiano, a new instrument created at this time and evolving rapidly between 1770 and 1850, before evolving more slowly into the piano of today.
