As part of Heritage Days, this is your chance to discover the treasures of traditional irrigation canals such as the Rouchas Frach canal!
For over 700 years, the Rouchas Frach canal irrigated the Fontgillarde and Coin meadows.
A signposted path follows its course, with sculpted stones and a memorial site evoking the environment and the lives of the past.
This astonishing site is the brainchild of the Fountgillencs, an association based in Molines-en-Queyras.
An educational and artistic evocation has been created by the local inhabitants.
This experience is listed in the inventory of intangible cultural heritage.
The European Heritage Days are an opportunity to discover this place of memory during a guided tour.
The meeting point is just after the village of Fontgillarde, at the Lariane bridge parking lot, at 10 a.m. After a short walk, carpool to the visit site.
