The Rochambeau barracks is closed, but its walls continue to bear inscriptions. Quentin Spohn takes them from the wall to the drawing board.
The "Human Brothers" exhibition is based on inscriptions found in the Rochambeau barracks, now inaccessible. A closed place, but walls that remain marked.
On these surfaces, traces left by different presences. The viewer's gaze could stop at the entire site, but here it narrows in on these writings, concrete, visible, already there.
This is where the work begins. The shapes are lifted, moved, then recomposed. They leave the wall without leaving it completely, and continue to exist in another way, on paper.
