Sophie Loos is a mountain hut warden, Laurette Gougeon is a circus artist and director, and Aurélia Lanoë is a high-mountain guide. These three women have one thing in common: they have turned their passion—the mountains—into their profession, the source of their dreams, and their desire to share. This intimate documentary follows the daily lives of these three friends during a summer in the Ecrins massif. Sophie, at the Sélé mountain hut, juggles cooking, inventory management, welcoming visitors, and answering questions about climbing routes for mountaineers, all while never losing her good humor or her infectious energy. Laurette tries to find a balance between her roles as a guide and a performer without overworking herself or losing sight of the passion for sharing that drives her. Aurélia feels right at home on the peaks and shares her clients’ joy when she helps them reach the pinnacle of their dreams—and sometimes even beyond. All three are carving out their place as women in a world that remains predominantly male, and they’re moving forward with enthusiasm along the paths they’ve chosen for themselves.
