We invite you to join us on an easy mountain hike with 450 meters of elevation gain—a 1.5-hour climb—to discover the inscribed stones, or petroglyphs! These are a hidden gem of Queyrassin’s cultural heritage, dating back 150 to 450 years.
As part of an independent project titled “The Stones of Our Valley,” funded by a shared municipal budget, a group of residents mapped out a trail marked by stones inscribed with messages from the elders.
This hike involves a 1.5-hour ascent with 450 meters of elevation gain; allow extra time for the descent (round trip). Check the weather forecast, dress appropriately for a safe hike, bring water, and protect yourself from the sun! In winter, this trail is completely covered in snow, hiding the petroglyphs and requiring appropriate gear as well as the knowledge to navigate in winter conditions.
