L'église Vieille

Historic site and monument, Religious heritage, Church in Saint-Crépin
  • Churches, chapels, crosses, oratories, calvaries... testify of the importance that religion had.

  • Built on an ancient Gallic place of worship in the 5th century and with sculpted stones that refer to Gallo-Roman art, the old church bears its name well. One can still observe the choir (which has been restored), the foundations of the walls of the nave and the bell tower. It is worth noting that the bell tower is independent from the rest of the building, like the churches in Piedmont. Its interest comes from the fact that there is almost no church of this period visible in this state.
