Col de Vars

Mountain pass in Guillestre
  • At 2,109 m, it might not be the giant of the sector... but beware, it hides its stature well and your legs will certainly remember it! It demands a sustained pace with steep gradients, leaving you little time to rest until the finish line!

  • A major pass that precedes or follows the ascent of the Izoard on most routes. The Tour de France has climbed the Col de Vars over thirty times since 1922.
Open all year round, it takes you from the Guillestrois to the Ubaye and Larche valleys.
