Les Casses, 05600 Réotier
A poetic name for a small hamlet chapel perched at an altitude of 1200 m.
It was built in the 18th century and its paintings were restored in 1980. The hamlet of Les Casses, which sits on a steep slope, is unusual in that its houses are built on two street levels. This makes it easy to store hay via the rear, and let the animals out via the street in the front.
Churches, chapels, oratories, limestones, crosses... Can all be found in the villages of the Guillestrois and attest to the importance of religious life.
