The fountain was once the village's social network! There, washerwomen would exchange information while doing the washing. It also provided drinking water to people and animals, for watering the vegetable garden and sometimes to extinguish fires.

It was a strategic location that everyone had to visit several times a day! Today it's mainly hikers and mountain bikers who stop here to fill their water bottles and take a selfie in front of a beautiful bed of flowers!
A number of fountains in this district evoke the origin of the name ""Font"" (spring).
But do you know what this little bowl dug into the ground (known here as a ""naïs"") near the fountain was used for? It was used for rolling hemp. Make no mistake, this was industrial...It was a strategic location that everyone had to visit several times a day!
